Mario Albuquerque is responsible for cross-sectional equity research, developing systematic strategies, and conducting product design. He is also deeply involved in developing the next generation infrastructure for strategy back testing and analytics.

Prior to joining Research Affiliates, Mario was Senior Researcher at PredictWallStreet LLC. Before that, he held Analyst and Portfolio Manager positions at BPI Asset Management and a Junior Financial Controller position at Siemens Information and Communications.

Mario has a BS in Business Management from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa in Porto, Portugal, and a Master of Financial Engineering degree from UC Berkeley. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Orange County.
